PJ Trainor

My background is in advanced statistics, machine learning, and making those things accessible to all audiences. I'm currently looking for Data Science opportunities in Boston. Aside from that, I like math, python, film, and jokes about animals.

You can find some of my work on GitHub, and I'll tinker with new software and methods on Kaggle. Nowadays I focus mainly on python and statistical computing. In the past, I worked on web development with a focus on data visualization.

Occasionally I'll write. Sometimes it's on technical topics, but I enjoy writing about film the most. You can find me on Medium, although I post sporadically, and I'm now putting technical posts on dev.to.

Previously, I lived in Baltimore, working as a Data Analyst for the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Lab. I also earned my M.S. in Applied & Computational Mathematics. Prior to that, I studied Mathematics at Swarthmore College. I'm originally from Miami, and yes I miss the weather.
